Our celebration started Wed night. We went to church and Nicholas was thrilled to actually hold a lit candle (of course I had that giddy feeling and it was NOT the Christmas rush). We then journeyed out and looked at Christmas lights. Nicholas makes you say wow or wow wow.....depending on how he thinks the house looks.
Thursday night we spent with Eddie's family. Everything was nice and all of the kids got their gifts as well as spent some time together.
Friday morning was a spectacular. Nicholas was sooooo excited and opened every gift with a gleam in his eyes. I would say that Santa brought about 16 new costumes for Nicholas. If anyone wants to shoot a Star Wars movie...come to our house. We have all the props! Thankfully Nicholas made his list very early this year and
We snuck in a little nap with Lukas before heading out to my Grandma's house for the afternoon/evening.
We had a nice dinner and exchanged gifts with a basement full of people. Nicholas got 4 more costumes and entertained everyone with each one! My Aunt Sharon works her butt off to get the holidays looking just right. I was excited to see my cousin Jodi which is my sister of all sisters.
Saturday we journeyed out to my dads where Nicholas got 1 more costume and again entertained us all. Lukas just goes with the flow at this age and played with whatever he could reach.
It is now Sunday night and Lukas just got to see the full effect of his gift......a roller coaster. He had a terrified look on his face at first and then smiled as wide as he could....until we were tired of getting him up and down it, then he got more like a "don't you dare stop pushing me" look on his face.
Nicholas is spending the night with his cousins and the house is actually quiet right now. A HUGE mess, but quiet. I am going to take advantage of the quiet.....and leave the mess.
Thank You to everyone who helped make this Christmas a great one for our boys. We are grateful and overwhelmed at your generosity.
Now if someone can just buy us a bigger house....we could have a place to store all of your generosity! :)
