Warning...Warning
Danger..... Will Robinson!
So, if you own a house, you know that everything in there needs maintenance, right? I mean even the refrigerator bulbs and the water filter need to be changed. How do you go about remembering it all?
Well...............usually most people wait until something brakes or the water from the fridge resembles swamp water. Then you say "Oh....I was suppose to change that 6 months ago!!
Anyways, here is a little warning from my Aunt about your garage door openers. You need to grease the rails once a year and the springs twice a year or sooner or later....SNAP. The spring will break and cost more than a new opener to replace. So, just run down to Home Depot and get some garage door lubricant. Yes, they sell it and yes they will tell you exactly where it is. Spray those babies up and keep your door from squeaking and cracking on ya! (While you are there, you may want to get a new water filter for the fridge.....)
In the meantime, print THIS up and stick it to the fridge with one of those pizza place magnets you have and peek at it every once in awhile....it may help you in the long run!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDIE
You may think I am 2 days late because his bday was the 6th....but I am just trying to play catch up/ I really was going to write this post on his Bday, but we went to dinner with friends and my mom and then we had to play softball at 9:40....which got us home after 11 and we both were pretty tired.
SOOOOOO....Happy Birthday to you honey! It was also my brother's birthday on the same day...so Happy Birthday to you too! There are so many birthdays in July for our families. We went to my Grandma's on the 4th to celebrate my cousins bday and as we were headed to our cousins house, Nicholas fell asleep and was not being very nice as we tried to wake him. Lukas had only taken like 2 naps at 5 minutes each time....so we had a crabby car load and headed home instead.
SOOOOOOO.......Happy Birthday Aunt Pam and Kira! We are sorry we missed the evening with you guys! I didn't think Lukas would do well with the loud noises of the fireworks and figured we would have to head home before they started as well. My mom came home and volunteered to stay with Lukas, so we did go over a friends house around 9 to sit around a bonfire and shoot off some fireworks as well as watch them. Nicholas had fun and he got to see some fireworks and eat Smores without having his little brother crying in his ear!
Here are a couple pics from the 4th and Eddie's bday!

Hello Again
Well, in case you didn't know...we left town. Yep....loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly. Well, something like that. We took a little ride to Westerville Ohio to see my Aunt Sharon & Uncle Terry. It is about a 3.5 hour drive and Nicholas will ask every 5 minutes if we are there yet. We arrived on Saturday evening and had a yummy steak dinner with the trimmings.
Sunday was going to be pajama day, but we all got dressed and journeyed on over to the House of Japan. This has to be the best Japanese steakhouse anywhere. It has a special ingredient that makes it unique...and no I wont share it with you!!
Here is what Aunt Sharon looks like......but she couldn't see because her helmet was on backwards!

Monday was a sunny and 82 degree day, so we headed down the road to Zumbezi Bay which is next to the Columbus Zoo. Eddie & Nicholas ran around in the water and on some water slides, while Aunt Sharon & I sat in the sun. We ended the day with some rides for Nicholas and a log ride for Nicholas & I. We got soaked. It was a nice refreshing way to cool off before heading home.

There was a funny thing that happened while we were there.....
Eddie went up to a kid who was working the "Guess your weight, age & bday" booth. This is what happened.....
Technical difficulties...sorry....to be added later
In case you couldn't hear....the kid guessed Eddie to weigh 205! Can you believe it? He was only off by about 70 pounds. We will cut him some slack since he said it was his first day (yeah , right).
Tuesday we headed to the Columbus Zoo to see the baby elephant Beco. He was born in March and his name is a combo of mommy & daddy's. (Phoebe & Coco). Here are a few pics of him....
Beco & his mommy

Nicholas wrapped up his zoo visit with an elephant face painting!

Wed was the day we headed to the marketplace for some yummy food. Aunt Sharon & I also headed to get a relaxing pedicure after as well. It was a nice relaxing time and we can't wait to go back and visit again.

They come in three's
OK, let's see......
1. Ed Mcmahon
2. Farrah Fawcett
3. Michael Jackson
They say that death comes in three's and those are the 3 recent celebrities I can think of.
Everybody seemed very sad about Farrah Fawcett and then.........everyone seemed shocked about Michael Jackson. I'm not sure if anyone really knew about Ed.
Michael Jackson had it all, didn't he? Then he just went haywire....berzerk.....outta his mind crazy. He would have been such a legend if he didn't become such a whack job. I can remember just loving everything about him when I was younger.....and then as I grew older....he grew weirder. Some people will still consider him the king of pop...yadda, yadda, yadda....but I have to say he really went out for a long walk and never came back.
Sorry to hear about your death Michael. Death is never fun or should be made fun of.....but just think how great he WAS and if he could have just held onto that....he would have been legendary!
Farrah struggled and went through all of the pain of battling cancer and finally lost the battle. I'm sorry to see you go....and Michael Jackson has now stolen your limelight by passing right after you. I noticed she was bumped to page C of the newspaper.....sorry Farrah.
May all 3 of you RIP

Summer is Jumping!
It is like a heat wave around here and we are not complaining...well...most of us aren't!
We just put up the water slide and splash around until we are cool & refreshed. Nicholas had his friends Eli & Liam (twins) from school over on Monday. Then, on Wednesday he had his other friend from school, Justin, over with his twin brother Jayden....I guess it was twin week here.
Not to mention Aunt Michelle showed with Morgan yesterday as well. Michelle & I got to sit with our feet in the pool and beers in hand! Until the Weight Watcher Nazi appeared! My mom made me go weigh in with her and I lost a pound this week. She lost 1 1/2 pounds!!!
Well, to show her that we were still gonna be cool....Eddie, Nicholas & I went to our friend Steve's house and went swimming in a big pool and wrapped it up with "welaxing" in a hot tub.....as Nicholas would call it.
Speaking of Weight Watcher's.....I have to congratulate my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Terry!! They have both already lost over 40 lbs each! My mom is like 3/4 of a pound away from 40 as well. I'm just a little behind at the 18 pound mark. The important thing is that I am still losing a pound or 2 a week. As long as I keep steadily losing weight...I am happy with it.
So, find a way to enjoy the heat like we have and have a great summer!!

Happy Pappy Day
Nicholas & Lukas and I delivered a yummy omelet and toast to Eddie in bed on Father's Day. Nicholas handed him the plate and said "You're gonna share the toast, right Dad?" It was too cute. Lukas just laid there like a slug and said "mama."
We then journeyed out to my Dad's house to have a little BBQ with him. It takes us a little over an hour to get there, and we had to listen to Nicholas ask every 5 minutes "How much further is it?"
Until.....we told him if he asked again-he would lose some toys. It got quieter after that. I wish my Dad lived closer so that we could spend more time with him and so he could spend more time with his Grand kids. We don't get to see him nearly as much as we would like to.
Lukas was crabby and didn't like seeing a new place and different faces, so he cried alot...but Nicholas was a chatter box. He was talking non stop. He fed the fish in the pond and paid a visit to the THREE dogs. He then ate and lounged under several gazebos! We were hoping to see my Grandpa, but the drive to my Dad's takes up most of the day and ...well...he is the DAD...so he gets priorities.
My Grandpa has not been feeling well. He is in congestive heart failure. He had a pace maker put in several weeks ago and was feeling better, but then he felt worse and had to be taken back into the ER. They were going to have to cut him back open to fix the pacemaker, but by some miracle (that is what they said) the pacemaker recalibrated itself. So, he got to come home 2 days later. This was last Monday....so he came home Wed....and now has a follow up appt today. He still is not feeling well and we hope he can get feeling better real soon.
So, we hope you all had a great Father's Day. I hope you spent it with a dad who cares for you and loves you.

Is it over?
We started the partying on Thursday...Nicholas' actual birthday. Since T Ball was cancelled due to rain, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese. Aunt Colleen & Alexander joined us!
Grandma & Lukas
Alexander & Lukas
Aunt Colleen & the kids
Cake!
Frosting lips
Aunt Colleen & Nicholas
Presents!
Thanks Mom & Dad
Then........
Friday night we watched the Red Wing game with our friends....sort of. When we got to their house we saw that their DISH TV was not working. They assured them it would be on within an hour. That hour came and went. As we watched it on a laptop computer, we started packing up to go to our house, but Bo hooked the computer up to the 92 inch TV and we watched it that way. It wasn't bad....just not HD and no rewind capabilities. It was sort of like watching clay mation people skate around. I think that is probably why the Red Wings lost......just my theory.
Saturday was Nicholas' birthday party. It was cloudy and cool out. It figures. The weather stations kept saying sunny and 77 degrees. The day before the party...they said 70 and cloudy with afternoon showers. LOVELY. Nicholas had his heart set on the new water slide, so we set them up. The kids went on them until their teeth were chattering and their lips were turning blue....then they would go in again.
We also had the world's worst pinata. In the morning, I noticed the hook was broke...the one you use to hang it up with. We used some weed whacking string and managed to loop it through to make it hangable (is that a word?). The string was so strong that it cut through the cardboard, so we had to re thread it...but then the bottom popped open. So, we taped it. Then the other bottom side opened...we taped that. So, now the kids can't get it to open and were hitting it for so long and so hard...that the string broke again. Our friend Scott was holding it with his ripped up hands (he is a cop and got mauled by a pit bull....just the right person to be holding a pinata that kids are going to be hitting with a bat, right?) They avoided smashing his fingers and he finally just ripped it open and threw all the candy up in the air.
Pretty funny, huh? Maybe not when it was happening...but after it was pretty laughable (is that a word?) I am making up words today.
Here are some pics of Saturday......
Uncle Gary showed up!
